This Week's Homebrew: Kentucky Common
This Week's Homebrew: Kentucky Common
I dont know what a Kentucky Common is supposed to taste like but I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out. Despite it's dark complexion it's quite light on the pallette, and has a mild malty affect. Kicking at around 6% there's only a slight boozy dryness due to the high amount of corn adjunct - but the booziness is mostly hidden by the malt. Overall flavor opens up when served cool versus ice cold.
This batch was ultra cheap (20ish dollars for 5 galloms)"since I harvested yeast from a previous brew, and used Aldi cornflakes for the maize input.
Anyhow I'm buzzed.
What are you nerds up to tonight?
