As Anthropic tries to keep pace with OpenAI, it’s also taking on the U.S. government

Anthropic is growing quickly as it tries to keep up with OpenAI, which has soared to a $500 billion valuation and is partnering with many of the largest tech companies.

Meanwhile, Anthropic is also facing off with the U.S. government, as AI and crypto czar David Sacks publicly criticizes the company.

“Anthropic is running a sophisticated regulatory capture strategy based on fear-mongering,” Sacks wrote on X this week.
