Are the bourgeoisie trying to find a way to create new value without human labor?

I had this "shower thought" that I found interesting.

What if all the techbro weirdness from the last decades (cryptocurrency, NFTs, AI slop, etc) is the result of bourgeois seeing the writing on the wall that clearly their rates of profit are getting dangerously close to 0 and desperately trying (and failing) to find a way to create value without human labor?

What do y'all think?
