Puttering in the opressive heat
Puttering in the opressive heat
Cleaned up a shady part of the garden.
I planted the white hydrangea shrub (before photos was in a container) behind a hydrangea that isn't bud hearty. Maybe one year I will protect it properly.
I also planted one of the two hostas shown. The darker hosta went in the front yard. There is another, larger hosta behind the bees balm, which was transplanted earlier in the year and hasn't quite taken off yet.
I also pruned the rose and cleaned up next to the columbine, geranium and forget-me-nots.
The vine is a giant pain in the ass but it's got a pretty big ecosystem just chilling in there so I just trimmed it away from this side. Maybe I'll remove it when things go dormant.
It's been so, so dry. I watered these in good and used our own compost on the hydrangea. Fingers crossed!
