For this Special Sunday Kino Lagniappe, first up is Ravenous (1999). After some underhanded action in the Mexican-US war, a US soldier named Boyd is dishonorably sent to frontier Fort Spencer, manned by a peculiar skeleton crew. After this, a traveler claiming to be the sole survivor of a lost expedition to the West shakes up the peace. Something something Manifest Destiny, something something Goddamn
This seems to be the first film we watch from Antonia Bird. Oh, and the composition of original soundtracks (OSTs)
Michael Nyman and Damon Albarn composed the film's score, which generated a significant amount of interest for its quirky and inventive use of loops, instruments and musical structure.[5]
(The latter - Albarn - Who you might now from Gorillaz)
