Team Fortress Wiki: that ring that costs $100. There's a demo video of someone actually buying it!

Remember Casual Tuesdays? That's still on the rules, so I'm posting one!

This is a cosmetic item called Something Special For Someone Special, a diamond ring that costs $100 USD. The buyer can give it a name and gift it to another player. Once accepted, Team Fortress 2 announces the gift to everyone in-game.

A few days ago, the TF wiki added a video demonstrating buying and gifting this ring. In general, they have really comprehensive, high-quality videos demonstrating just about every item and even some mechanics in the game.
