    The whole point is, they can’t wait for sustainable energy to be a thing. They won’t let profits suffer in the name of protecting the planet. This is capitalism, and it’s a cancer.

      There is also no such thing as climate-friendly energy. Renewables allow to drastically reduce the footprint, but not remove it.

      We will always be better off spending less energy and developing approaches that won’t require installing an energy equivalent of several nuclear power plants just to feed the computers of one company.

      Also, it is important to give credit where credit is due. Apple, for example, is the only Big Tech company that seems to fare well on the energy sustainability front. Part of it might be offloading heavy AI tasks to ChatGPT, though, which might have missed the calculations, but they also have their own model.
