I just spoke to one of my county leaders about discharge last week and they repeated the beautiful story that the data center told them about treating the water to the state standards. I asked who exactly is ensuring the adhere to the standards, just because they can do it doesn’t mean they will. And he had no answer for that, kept talking about other things.
I’m going to say no, based on their recent political discourse. There’s an entire Wikipedia article on the subject. But, it’s probably still better than it is here in the USA.
