The US isn’t profiteering from the war, but from imperialism, ie export of capital. The war is what cements imperialism. Russia fighting the US in this context, and is benefitting from it. This does not mean they are working together, Russia is weakening the US’s position in Africa. China is taking a noninterventionist approach that is also helping.
