Not true: many plants (such as nuts and fruits) demand to be eaten, and some literally cannot continue to grow unless they pass through an animal’s digestive tract first.
The plants want the fruit to be eaten by a specific animal. Human beings do not have any such symbiotic relationship with any plant I know of. You’d get very sick, for example, if you ate a Cassowary Plum.
Ok I might be biased because I eat plants every day but I think it doesn’t matter weather plant wanted specific animal to eat it’s fruits and all. The only reason they wanted that was because that increased likelihood of reproduction and we take care of that on an industrial scale better* than those animals could ever do. Sure we are also destroying the earth and making it harder for all living creatures so maybe plants were right…

The power of science offers humans the ability to eat many things that were not originally designed to be eaten by us.
