Sony doesn’t know what tf they doing. All the disk nerds are gonna end up with bazzite machines by 2030.
I was talking to my partner about this yesterday and we realized it’ll be a pretty good hustle in a few years to just sell pirated pc games (really anything that isn’t on GOG).
Unless you’re really into god of war idk what sony games are worth dealing with all this, especially if square enix doesn’t follow suit and stop releasing on PC.
Of course, those bazzite machines won’t actually have disc drives either, because disc drives are so obsolete in PCs that pretty much no cases even have 5.25" bays, and it’s been that way for years.
The thing (most) disc nerds actually want isn’t the actual physical object but the inability for the corpos to just steal their shit.
My first generation PS5 with the disc drive keeps climbing in value. But how long will the software continue to support discs.
