    The biggest issue with taking the UK is that its agricultural production is likely to diminish with the collapse of the AMOC, so we’d be entirely reliant on imports in the long run. It could only work if we colonized it as part of a larger empire, so we’d likely want to start somewhere else.

      Very fair point. The AMOC collapse is not going to be a problem for a while though. Time to invade Greenland then? That one should be plenty arable by then. Iceland too for logistics, probably. I’m not sure I’m comfortable with the amount of collateral damage now.
