I agree with you, I threw my worry about ID theft out the window with the NPD leak 3 or 4 years back. To me it’s no longer a if but a when, and stupidly the US government doesn’t allow you to request SSN change until damages occur and even then its a case by case basis, so the best I can do is wait for something to happen.
