Try adding some punctuation for clarity:
What did you expect, “nacho”?
Kind of a joke so grammar and spelling should be relaxed grammar nazi.
It’s not about correctness, it’s about timing. Try saying the two versions out loud and you’ll see that the first one makes the joke unclear.
