He said the security zones will be “cleared of local residents, and all terror infrastructure, above and below ground, including the houses in the contact-line villages that served as terror outposts, will be destroyed.”

You don’t have to be as delusional as the mainstream media is, you don’t have to pretend a peace deal is possible while Israel refuses to stop its Genocide and Ethnic Cleansing of Gaza, The West Bank and Southern Lebanon in particular.

All of this talk of peace without stopping the violence Israel is perpetuating is nonsense and it forms a dangerous illusion that peace is feasible under the current genocidal conditions maintained by Israel. It is not, and if we pretend it is we have only locked in a far greater conflict and war down the road (which is what fascists desperately need to happen, a peace made in violent denial of genocide to ensure the growth of fascism).

Also, this is NOT just Netanyahu, Netanyahu’s politics and policy aims are broadly popular in Israel and it is not unusual for figures like Netanyahu to speak explicitly about the genocidal aspects of their policy as a positive to their domestic base in Israel.
