Yeah at f/1.8 six images is still shallow dof. You should shoot at something in the f/7-11 range for more depth of field. I’ve used that same software and it can leave quite a few artifacts.
I don’t think it needed focus stacking, also it is quite blurry
This is one of the stacked images, as you can see, the focus depth is really short

It totally did, the focus depth is super short with the ring. The background’s blurry, but that’s on purpose
