    Yes, and no.

Yes, once the cheeto goes away and the current psychosis of the US tapers off, and they get a normal boring president back, they will be welcomed back by the international community.

However, it will be in a different role than before, Trumps tantrums have cost the US an extreme amount of soft power and goodwill.

Trump’s cuts to and eliminations of aid, science and healthcare in the international community will probably take a minimum of a century to regain the trust that was lost, if it is even possible, which I doubt.

NATO has been shook to it’s core with Trump screaming about invading Denmark, his tantrums stopping deliveries of military aid to Ukraine, and even messing with the capabilities of foreign owned military aircraft during a war, has shown that the US is an unreliable military partner.

So even if the US spends decades focused on regaining trust and reversing Trumps mess, they will never be seen the same again, they may be a great partner in the future, but it will be in a different way than before.

What is needed is government reform, the first step is to remove FPTP completely, then get rid of the electoral college, and institute proportional representation this will allow smaller parties to get established and grow, giving the US a much healthier political system.
