Over the past two years or so, we’ve managed to cut our serving costs 5x, from ~$0.15 per active user per month to ~$0.03.

For who never heard Bridgy Fed before (source: The GitHub repository)

Bridgy Fed connects different decentralized social network protocols. It currently supports the fediverse (eg Mastodon) via ActivityPub, Bluesky via the AT Protocol, and the IndieWeb via webmentions and microformats2.

Learned yesterday they also bridge sites. Hadn’t found what technology they were using so had no clue how they did it, so thanks for the lead!

Does anyone bridge their threadiverse account to bluesky? I can’t imagine how disorienting it would be for your average Bluesky user to randomly come across a reply to a post from a piefed thread, for instance.

I think most of us use it to bridge mastodon. I don’t like dual posting so I just boost my bridged posts.
