It’s funny because a good percent of mainstream “art” is basically already focus grouped and market driven and not authentic human expression. “We” should have been pissed off at that too. We are already owned and living in a world that is not an authentic or genuine experience of humanity.

That criticism doesn’t mean much when there’s still a ton of creative stuff coming out of Hollywood and if you’re choosing to stay in that lane when we have access to a basically infinite amount of creative shit from other countries, that’s kind of on you.
Sure they are some unique movies, ussually by smaller studios, that take risks. But then you have disney producing slop of what they already did a million times.
Exactly. I’ve felt this way for a long time. When AI started to hit, I was honestly hoping people would just be using it to replace all of the wasted labor time making “corporate bullshit art” and instead corporations decided it should replace all art.
If there’s someone out there who would be offended by no longer having to make corporate bullshit art to instead spent that time making real art, I honestly don’t know how I’d respond to them.
