The US is definitely losing in Iran. That said, I don’t think we’ll be seeing a noticeable increase in people seizing the moment to overthrow imperialism, even in much of the global south. The West’s (albeit weakened) hold on the world’s political economy and various collaborator and comprador elements are still going to be obstacles. Not to mention colour revolutions.
Surely they will still be obstacles, but this is clearly a massive blow to US hegemony following a long string of blows that are starting to really leave a mark.
The end of imperialism has finally come into view over the horizon but the terrain ahead is rough and we have far to go.
Yeah, my view exactly. It’s closer in reach than ever before, but will nonetheless take time and work.
