Love how you stan Julius Caesar, a man who literally wrote his own history and committed extremely atrocious war crimes that were paramount to genocide, while shitting all over Stalin.

What a remarkable mask-off moment from a Stalinist bootlicker.

But hey, I’ll bite - yes, Caesar was literally less bad than Stalin despite being ~2000 years of human civilizational and philosophical progress behind Stalin. That’s how fucking shitty Stalin is. Caesar wrote his memoirs; he didn’t fucking enforce it as Rome’s only truth. Caesar performed an imperialist war of conquest in a time when that was the norm; Stalin performed an imperialist war of conquest in a time when that was no longer accepted. Caesar allowed the conquered to largely maintain their own governments and structures; Stalin imposed his own fascist system on the conquered regardless of what the people of the region wanted.

Stalin genocided numerous ethnic groups in the Soviet Union, not in the process of warfare, but explicitly at peacetime; accusations of genocide towards Caesar’s actions are extremely questionable. Stalin purged massive amounts of people from the government for disagreeing with him, imprisoning and murdering them after; Caesar pardoned almost all of his enemies, without preconditions, and they continued to be elected for high offices even when he had consolidated power, including the ones who had never made any pretense of reconciliation. Stalin formed and used a massive secret police to spy on and brutalize the population; Caesar relied on his reputation to guard him, up to the very end.

Stalin ruined the peasantry and ensured they would starve; Caesar redistributed land to the poor and ensured a sustainable welfare system for the poor of Rome. Stalin was a rapist and had a rapist pedophile as his right-hand man; Caesar passed a law mandating the death penalty for rapists. Stalin pursued an ethnic chauvinist national policy of Russification; Caesar invited even the conquered to share in the national government. When Stalin died, his policies were overturned and people celebrated; when Caesar died, the people rioted to uphold his reforms.

Caesar was not a good person. In fact, I’d go so far as to say that Caesar in the modern day would absolutely deserve a noose. But men are measured at least in part by their time, and Caesar stood for a less horrific state of society. Stalin was one of the worst shitstains to ever hold power, an enemy of both the Right Opposition and Left Opposition, managing a perfect synthesis into red fascism, with none of the redeeming features of either faction, but all of the downsides - and turned up all the way at that. And bootlickers like you still simp for him.

    Fuck off, fascist.
