Correct, the first part does double duty calling him a twit and harkening back to his tendency to tweet all his stupid, vile thoughts incoherent ramblings before he got temporarily kicked off Twitter for inciting an insurrection. Chosen by me in this particular instance for the Hitler comparison, though that part is losing some of its power as his followers become more and more open about embracing the similarities.

The company hasn’t asked Kimmel to apologize, nor does Kimmel have any plans to do so, the people said. The comedian has been a vocal critic of Trump for several years.

Comedians have raced to defend Kimmel and criticize Disney.

“You can’t go around firing somebody because you’re fearful or trying to suck up to an authoritarian criminal administration in the Oval Office,” former late-night host David Letterman said at an event in New York Thursday. “That’s just not how this works.”

Kimmel had planned to address the controversy in his opening monologue Wednesday. The company asked Kimmel to tone down the remarks and strike a more conciliatory tone, said the people. Disney pulled the show after the two sides couldn’t agree on how to proceed.

Kimmel and Colbert should take their show and all their employees over to Dropout.

The future of the show is simple - if he promises to do what he’s told (with someone nearby holding a vaudeville hook to cut the signal the moment he acts up), the show will continue. Otherwise, maybe if there’s ever a Democrat elected again he could see getting near a camera again.

Christ. Over saying ‘The Idiot seems insincere.’ At least that professor in Toronto said ‘good riddance.’ Nothing short of wailing and rending of garments is sufficient, for the school shooting apologist who got shot at a school.
