Wait, has season 2 even wrapped filming?
Is it worth watching? I’ve only seen the Netflix versions.
In short, wait for the season two reviews, which I expect to be excellent, then start watching.
Season one was mostly filmed before they looked at it and realized it wasn’t really working. Then they brought in folks from the Netflix series, made some major changes, and fixed everything. Having watched season one it’s really obvious what was filmed before/after.
The first season starts strong and ends strong. I’m really excited for season two. The middle of season one? It’s good, but just good.
Also they are making a special presentation for The Punisher. I expect that will come out just before season 2. I expect it will take place between season 1 and 2. In which case, you’ll want to watch it. It won’t be required, but I think it will be a nice setup.
If you thought the Netflix series was good (in spite of all the ninjas), then absolutely yes.
Born again is a bit more grounded and brutal, but it still carries all the hallmarks of original run. And Charlie Cox is amazing as always.
yeah i didn’t care for born again much. there was a good punisher scene, but the entire premise of kingpin as a fascist mayor is too on the nose right now.
