Because when your incredibly distressed child needs an explanation for the horrors they just saw on their screen, you suddenly feel more willing to accept a much higher level of dire conditions to shield your child from experiencing war.
It’s there really no basic security on these sats? I guess RF spectrum is highly regulated so the assumption was the tech can be simplified. Look where it got us today - foreign hostile state can just broadcast anything they want. I hope this is being addressed.
