Are they actually asking for ads or am I misreading this? I will do an adventurism right now if people are actually asking for ads

They want to pay money in exchange for software. Has this concept been lost to time? Am I really that old?

Ok imagine you are in a store and on the shelf you see this box

You buy it and install it on your computer. It doesn’t have ads because you already gave them money at the store when you bought it.

        or just add some ads.

This part in particular. Also I’m old enough to have grown up when computers weren’t common at all. I’m familiar with paying for software. I’m honestly not sure why you are responding this way when the text literally suggests adding ads.

Firefox is the last bastion of hope against a capitalistic oligopoly intent on destroying any last vestige of usability on the internet. Some profit incentive will totally help it stay the course!!! eco-porky

If money solved all the problems, nobody would need an alternative to Chrome. Turns out, chasing money is the cause of most problems with the internet.

I’d rather chip a couple of bucks to Servo instead, which funnily enough, actually used to be under the Mozilla banner but a round of layoffs ended up cutting the team working on it. It’s development recently picked back up and there’s a small team working on it (I believe from Igalia) again this time under the Linux Foundation.
