Most other African countries speak French, Spanish or another European language as an official language. So what is the issue here? I am lucky that the U.S., back in WWII, did not exterminate every german citizen and even soldier for being a nazi but i guess you would have welcomed that.
The intent of fighting Nazis is to take away any power they might hold and to prevent them from doing hateful shit. Prison should be fine even for the worst of them.
