I wish the article had touched on just how out of reach emigration is for a large portion of US citizens. They touch on “getting passports in order” when the thing you need is a visa, and an increasing number of countries just don’t want Americans living there (as if it wasn’t already a rather difficult, expensive, and drawn out process).
