Our little game jam game Sorcell’s Spectacular Spell got a big content update! 🍂
We originally developed this in three days for the Cozy Fall Jam 2023, and this update had been in the works for over a year 😅
I finally took the time and added the finishing touches over the easter weekend!
It’s a short and simple mini-statraiser/resource-management game about helping a wizard train for a magic competition. We worked on it as a team of eight and it has adorable art and a completely original soundtrack!
The update added more CGs, more events, a reworked minigame and a revised script + lots of bug fixes and quality of life stuff.^^
Playing it from beginning to end should take no longer than half an hour~

We definitely learned a bit about UI design in this one^^ The minigame has that weird issue where the timer seems to run a lot slower in the web version. If you download it, you’ll notice that it’s actually a little more challenging to beat. I’ll have to investigate that 🤔
Also, I’ve also mentioned it in another comment in a crosspost, but rightclicking should solve the History screen issue (same for the Save screen) It’s a shortcut for showing and hiding game menus!
Also, yes that surprise moment in the good ending is very much intended to have that effect, hehe 🤭
I checked some of your itch reviews and found it very funny that someone complained about the adding phrases midway when I praised it. Different strokes for different folks!
