Is using vivaldi instead of chrome considered degoogling? I have heard that it uses chromium as its engine, but I want to know whats the downside of that? Does it diretcly bring money to google by using a chromium based browser? Does google somehow collect data from it?
@skitazd For me, degoogleing is not just about Google but replacing USA products for European alternatives.
Using Firefox is no solution for me then. Librewolf maybe, but if we disqualify Vivaldi because of its origin of its engine, the Librewolf is outruled too.
I prefer open source, but I can trust a Nordic company too. But I’m open to new ideas. Feel free to suggest anything.
