Yep. Got a Sherpa denim jacket last year for winter and it was a great decision. Kept me toasty warm and was a good alternative to a heavy winter coat.
I can’t speak for him but that would be too warm for most of winter where I am. Maybe in the two days it gets down to freezing or whenever it sleets it would be fine.

UK. So not particularly cold but I’m prone to anemia due to a chronic illness and I don’t deal well with cold weather.
