Well, they’re offering products that are veeeerrry much in demand at attractive pricees. The whole world is trying to figure out how to afford energy/transport AND food at the same time. The answer is renewables and electrification, and that’s just what China has been throwing its weight behind. For years now.

All the while governments in the west are flip-flopping around, following asinine policy, killing the economy instead of incentivizing modernization and innovation. After basically handing any edge they had away (solar, EVs…) and then complaining someone else filled the gaping hole they left. This was a known outcome for many years, and was vocally, publicly stated. As much as I hate, hate, hate the economic crap the normal people e.g. in Europe have/will have to deal with, I have to acknowledge how well China played this with simple means: consistency. Just extremely salty the powerful had to work soooo hard against the facts of reality.

They have purposely kept their currency low to push exports. Xi has made it clear he wants to destroy foreign economies
