sure, that was indeed a clue. But this is about interpreting what “cis” here meant to Zappyz_ then.
Knowing + using Greek allows me at the least the separation of attractiveness to be completely be divorced from gender, and pronouns.
We don’t truly know both how “cis” could have been used here, and @TotallynotJessica@lemmy.blahaj.zone wants me to also be aware it could be used differently than meaning “heterosexual.” Which is cool. I just think that if “-philia” was more commonly used in other languages, people would see their “egg” signs more faster.
I am quotating “egg” because Greek & Asian languages use different terms for trans “awakening awareness.”

We don’t technically know how any word is being used here, but without evidence to the contrary, it’s reasonable to assume that they’re being used according to their accepted definitions.

Not just “could”. That implies that both are correct and common. Using “cis” to refer to sexuality is an error, and a pretty rare one at that. I’ve seen it only a handful of times. Confusing “straight” with “both heterosexual and cisgender” is more common, but that’s in the opposite direction and mostly restricted to people who think that “cis” is a slur and would never refer to themselves as such in my experience.
i think alapakala is referring to the ⚢ in the user’s twitter display name, which strongly implies they are sapphic to at least some degree

That is solid evidence
