Taiwan’s Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) signed the deal with the Lithuanian Laser Association and the Center for Physical Sciences and Technology during Semicon Taiwan, per Rti. The two-year project will receive about NT$205 million (5.6 million euros) in government funding and promote cooperation between companies in the two countries.

The joint venture will also accelerate validation of new materials and help Taiwanese equipment manufacturers expand into advanced packaging applications.
