ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A New Mexico man was arrested after allegedly shooting and killing his cousin during an argument over whose plate of green chile enchiladas was hotter.

Ervin Joaquin Gutierrez, 22, was charged with an open count of murder in the Aug. 27 killing of 25-year-old Nathaniel Cavazos.

That’s not at all what the article you linked claims. The ‘mixed feelings’ had to do with using the terms being used performatively instead of actually putting in the work to create inclusive spaces.

When an expert or organisation got it [the use of neurodiverse and neurodivergent] wrong, especially one claiming to be inclusive, it could be seen as a “red flag”. Some participants thought this was a sign that they used fashionable inclusive language while failing to change exclusionary practices.
