Be me. Busy at work, music going. And this old favorite pops up at random after a few years of forgetting about it. Lol I fucking played the shit out of this one in sets back in the early 10s. I think we’ve all heard a few creative and fantastic covers. This being a SoM cover I can easily think of a couple of good Stones covers SoM did. Share the covers that got your attention here. The only requirement is dark and gothy.

Interesting, not familiar with orvel peck. Daniel I’ve listened to for almost 20 years. Though I need to catch up with him. I didn’t keep up for about 6 years during his Joe Letz stretch. So I haven’t heard most of his post covid stuff.
He is kind of niche, he’s a gay cowboy that sings country music. This is the only song I know by him.
I get so much country out here I tend to avoid it heh. And not the good stuff. Kenny, Dolly, Johnny, Kenny, Hank Sr, Willie etc. The mass produced jingoistic self aggrandizing kind. This isn’t that 🙂
The ones like Johnny or even Kenny are respected for their range and talent. Kenny wasn’t afraid to sing a song written by a disco Beegee written for a deceased R&B artist. Dolly too. And of course Johnny and Trent. They were artists and not just a generic product.
I don’t like most country music, with that said I like Merle Haggard, the and the Flying Burrito Brothers, and Mike Nesmith.
I also really like this cover by Elvis Costello.
Psycho
That whole album is good.
Yeah Merle is good. I am familiar in passing with the burrito brothers. And who the monkeey? Honestly I had not really looked into anything he did after that. Though I know he did have a career. I will have to check that out later looks really interesting. And Elvis well that should go without saying.
