Venmo isn’t really a thing where I am, so maybe I’m fundamentally misunderstanding how it works, but why would anyone outside Venmo themselves be able to access your actual account info? When using PayPal, the vendors don’t get my actual card number, just the PayPal account name (and shipping details if I choose to include that). That’s the whole point of intermediaries like PayPal, Venmo, etc.
What info does using Venmo give them that using PayPal or a credit card doesn’t? It’s not like you can go to their headquarters and use cash.
You could go to your local store and buy a gift card with cash.
It’s still access to your account information. You do you but I don’t trust or like Google or Apple both are trying to erase anonymity online and irl
