      What!?

It is way too early to conclude that, the reason the strategy hasn’t worked is clearly because we haven’t doubled down on it enough, what we need is an oil surge to double down and defeat…

      defeat… om…

…well there are people much more evil than us, they hate us for being us and I promise you on my child’s life we WILL SHOW THEM WHAT FREEDOM IS BRO.

The article’s headline is part of the problem: world faces another environmental disaster…

“oh it’s in Oman, I don’t know where that is, probably deserved it” (capitalist stooge probably)

Edit: not sure if people are understanding my point: any oil spill is a global problem. We’re all in this together. I think a fair number of people wouldn’t be able to point out Oman on a map.

I suppose, in my opinion anyone who considers themselves even remotely interested in global affairs should know the significance of Oman.

Give a globe to a Martian and let them spin it around for awhile and eventually they will put your their tentacle on Oman and say “that is unique!”.
