Some Labour MPs have urged the government to take a more liberal approach, warning that the transition away from oil and gas must protect jobs and the cost of energy bills.
Somewhat disingenuous; new oil and gas drilling isn’t about preserving jobs, it expands the fossil fuel industry further.
Also, jobs aren’t of interest. People need money for living. We could just ban fossil fuels and pay people until retirement. I bet we’d save quite a bit of money due to less environmental damages.
