Fast food places and their dollar menus (it was a real thing like dinosaurs) got me through some very difficult times when balancing time and money was the difference between eating anything at all (even if it was junk) or going without entirely.
Taco Bell was one of my preferred places in those days because for reasons and such.
But times change and honestly every time I’ve given Taco Bell a second second chance again for the second or third time in the past 5 ish years or so, I’ve regretted it. Not because the food made me sick or gave me any unusual bowel symptoms, but because the food is now objectively gross and also way more expensive and the service has gone to shit.
