Further thoughts on Homeland (now up to season 7)

Israel is depicted as at fault for sabotaging the US Iran nuclear deal, but also the Liberal President Keane is also framed as literally Stalin. This show is a goldmine for liberal brainworms. I started watching it a long while back but recently decided to finish the series out of shear curiosity and it could have been great with different writers. The cast is really great and do well enough with the material they are giving but its so weird with its politics. Like Hezbollah turning out to be good guys, but Iran bad. Liberal president is nefarious and overreaching, but her opposition is literally Nazis. It's so convoluted it could be really great if it was just entirely fictional countries/world because the actual story is compelling.
