Is it weird that whenever there's an internet disruption, the first thing that I assume is happening is war, civil unrest, or government censorship, or some sort of conspiracy happening?

For context, I live in the US, but I've read news in the past about India shutting down the internet in response to protests and also Iran...

So now I just assume the worst about everything...

Does anyone else think this way?
