Speed, on the full configs: 3.6–5.7x faster on one thread, up to 38x on 16, and 37–400 MB of memory instead of 3–4 GB. A single file takes about 10 ms, which is the number I actually cared about, because that’s what makes it usable in a pre-commit hook.

    Seeing your nickname for the first time some years ago I thought it’d be funny if it’s a reference to Cassiopeia A, as it’s a remnant of a supernova that contains iron oxide.

      But no, the rust part comes from me liking steampunk. Nova is just because I thought it sounded nice (But I started having a black hole aesthetic so this also came after the name)
