  • Every now and then a snake hatches with one or more legs, so just above the shoulders... You could probably count vertibrae or something like that.

  • No.

  • I once mentioned this, and someone actually suggested that maybe I don't like chocolate.

  • I agree! You're wrong on the exceptions though.

  • Right, or soldiers as they see themselves as the leaders after the collapse. They're actually putting a lot of effort into figuring out how to stay in charge of their security force among other things. Here's a nice article explaining some of this if you're interested.

  • Changing the name in his political leanings isn't adding context, most people are aware of who Mamdani is.

  • They won't, at some point money won't matter anymore. They think they've got it figured out with their bunkers in New Zealand and Hawaii and where not, but I don't see them having the skill set needed to survive in that scenario. They just think they do, having gotten rich in IT and being surrounded by yes-men ever since.

  • You don't like your butt tongued?

  • In my view and understanding, genes define the potential, environment defines the realization. I mean environment in a broader sense though, I read some time ago that for teens the friend group has a bigger influence than the parents, who's impact on development is close to zero at that point.

  • Rutger Hauer died in 2019. He played Roy Batty, so here's a pub quiz answer for you I guess.

  • Have my angry upvote...

  • Sure, but I was referring to stuff like biodegradable tea bags or those nespresso cups that are only degrable under high temperature and long residence times, so they'll stay plastic forever in the composter.

  • Don't worry, in my experience biodegradable usually means under very specific circumstances which are not easily met. Even if, like in this case, it is presented as "just bury it for 50 days and it's gone". It's still a great discovery if the other claims are true though.

  • I'm currently renovating the toilet, I'm not going to pay someone else € 3500 for six days of work (six for me).

  • I guess it's more a question of whether they have the space to install panels in places where electricity infrastructure is already present.

Which is a good question, because I remember talking to an engineer from an Irish (waste to energy) power plant a few years ago, and he specifically was looking for ways to convert energy (like hydrogen production) because there was too little capacity on the grid.

  • This was elected the world press photo. Sad thing is, after only four days she left the school due to continuous harrasment.
