Actually no state in the US requires you give an ID upon request if you have not committed a crime or the police do not have reasonable suspicion of a crime. But since the police had recieved the tip from the employee it could be argued reasonable.

No, they’ll ding you for that too. Make a public one with your name, face, and everything else. Then have a second account that’s anonymous.
