  • "How dare you attempt escape from the hell-hole we've put you in without being granted leave in the only way still open to you! ...Whoops."

  • Ah, kill -9. Me old pal. Always ready to assist when inconvenient bodies needs to be buried out back. Best friend ever.

  • "It's the 24th goddamned century, and we still haven't mastered basic cable management."

  • Just not tell them things? They've undoubtedly got other things to worry about, and I doubt their superiors would be impressed with them bringing the Awesome Might of The Gubermint down upon their offspring.

  • Oh, poor babies... It's almost like everybody hates the fuck out of you for some weird reason.

  • It's a pity that DR has restricted access to their content for international visitors. I've had a few British colleagues tying to learn Danish, and watching the news was a good way to get exposure to received pronunciation and a wide vocabulary.

Nevertheless, while I'm not always on Lemmy, whenever I'm around I'll be happy to answer what questions I can.

  • Oh no. /s

  • And that should tell any half-way intelligent person everything they need to know.

  • It has made my experience with DDG immeasurably worse. It's not necessarily that the results are bad, but the performance impact is completely unacceptable.

  • Oh, Jesus Christ.

  • I'm sure that'll work out just great.

  • We'd be fortunate to have you, I'm sure. Please feel free to DM me if you need help. Pronunciation - which is probably the hardest part - is going to be tricky to assist with, but I can certainly help with grammar and spelling. Don't worry too much about pronunciation though - most Danes speak English perfectly well, and nobody is likely to hold relying on that against you until you can get up to speed.

  • You might be onto something.

  • Ah, I thought the motive for the mural was AI generated, not the entire thing.

  • Agreed.

  • Not to the best of my knowledge no. Neither has Mie scattering while we're on the subject.

  • I agree. Personally, I find it meditative. Cleansing.

  • You know, it's the second time I've had that response. It's not much, but it's still weird it's happened twice.

Mind you, as a former technical games programmer, I'm always up for a debate about Rayleigh Scattering.

  • No indeed, and you absolutely won't hear me complain about it. I'm not religious, but if I had been I'd have said 'bless you'. Instead, I'm just going to personally thank you for fighting the good fight. Keep it up! You're one of the good ones.

Hopefully, one day we'll be able to enjoy a nice BBQ together.
