  • When I saw the staggering amount of managers, associate directors, directors, VPs enter another management position here, I did begin to wonder what the ratio is to actual educators employed (this is specific to SFU, but I doubt it's much different at other unis).Don't even get me started on how they waste their money on bullshit. We shouldn't want education to disappear, but holy shit there needs some stronger rules and guidelines about this or what differentiates an actual place of education from a money grab

  • What's wrong with not allowing machinery to be sold off for peanuts and instead continuing to build cars. Maybe that arrow project that was in some news (all Canadian car), is that not a worthwhile project...oh is it too cheap perhaps???

  • Just wait a moment, this is a GIF

  • I have now spent majority of my life speaking English/living in English speaking country and yeah they love their acronyms. Unnecessary useless acronyms. I suspect they're wired for it from young age and don't even realize, because despite starting to learn English at a young age, there was no incentive for me to start coming up with or learning acronyms.

  • RISCV, potato, unprocessed sand....it's all hardware anyway

  • Walking home from shop the other day.Dumb kid zooms past us on the grass from behind because the footpath is rather narrow. No lights, dressed all dark (it was evening and dark already).Couple more idiot children zoom past on the road, blowing past a car stopped at a stop sign, almost hit pedestrian crossing the road at a crosswalk. Again all dark clothing, no lights. They're a disaster waiting to happen, but at this point...fuck em

  • Orangutans are gentle and intelligent creatures, don't let Futurama or some wannabe painted apes fool you.

  • It's genetics, just look at the father...

  • Any recommendations for a foaming soap dispenser that isn't completely shit though?

Tried a couple; random one in UK few years back (worked fine, should have taken it with us), random one in Canada (was shit from start) and re-used from foaming soap (essentially stopped making foam after 3-4 refills).

  • Well, I also oppose local corporation "ownership" of critical minerals....or government for that matter cuz you just know they're just gonna fuck it up. Dunno about the indigenous, but at least get haven't dug it all up, destroying the nature in all those centuries they've been around sooo ...maybe?

  • That's right, we got that sweet cheap desperate-educated-foreigner-being-paid-peanuts labour instead

  • Sooo what's Warframe like on Proton/Linux then?

  • Exactly, OpenRA is free anyway and if you wanna spend money may as well support them

  • Asking the real questions here...

  • Don't even need to post, just opening a reply can cause it as soon as the main screen is in the background. Also have been observing it for the last few months (latest Android versios).

I do wonder whether there are any people without curved display who observe this, it seemed like a mix of that and what Septimaeus has mentioned.

Edit: I always fail to recreate the issue after closing and reopening Voyager, however it generally seems to happen only after some time of app being open (not sure active scrolling through content is even necessary), at least 15-20 min from my perspective... so in that time something happens that makes android/Voyager forget appropriate app window scaling.

  • More like hot air, and you can't tell which end it came out as the smell is indistinguishable

  • That's not how you spell ruin 🤔

  • ... or Squidward's heart?
