I could get good food for that money from the supermarket next door.
Jealous. If only that were true everywhere. Supermarkets suck here..or cost a fortune or both
I'd still rather eat from a trashcan than mcdonalds
Edit: actually thinking about it, there is a fantastic falaffel place in oslo, i guess that would count as favorite. At the very least anything that isnt a chain
She did but her husband did not. Detaining her for traveling with him is nuts. Detaining him for that is also nuts but another story. The point being: there were "irregularities" involved. I am not saying it's not insane but also not completely random.
6 weeks detained by ICE is no holiday, the conditions are horrible, and you will more likely than not be denied medical service if you need it.
They did state that one person had an expired visa in the article. Absolutely not defending anything ICE did to the traveling couple, but it was not just being randomly picked up and carried away like headline and summary suggests.
Can we as citizens do anything against all this lunatic shit going on currently? I mean there is SO much blatant corruption going on everywhere. Waiting for elections or legal procedures obviously doesn't cut it, if that takes months/years vs "them" doing what they want every day and hour.
It just feels so bleak, and not reading news, while better mental health, would just be hiding from the truth
Wieso nicht gleich jetzt? Weg damit und gut is, funktioniert auch ohne. Und laaaaaaangsam bewegen sich auch "normale" Leute zu Alternativen, muss halt wer vorgehen.
Same boat here, just works, both on my laptop and deksktop.
In fact most of our company runs linux on laptops with nvidia gpu..
The biggest problem i can think of is a distro that doesn't ship the drivers in their package manager. and then it's just following the description on the nvidia website how to install them for your distro.
I got my close family and partner to use Signal but thats about it in terms of pushing.
Recently my bouldering group also moved to Signal, which was a nice surprise. But we are most likely all a little autistic in some way.
In terms of events: there are still many places that have websites. Admittedly I don't go out too much, but i find concerts and events just fine when i want to. It's an active thing though and not just appearing in my feed.
I do enjoy spicy food in general, but the x2 were hard. Used half the sauce the first time and finished the portion in pain, just because i am stubborn. On the third try i used around an eight of a package to keep it edible.
On the positive side: i put the rest of the sauce in a jar, so now i can add it to all kind of meals in smaller quantities. I really like that
Will the Jolla Phone work outside Europe, can I use it e.g. in the U.S.?

Yes, we will design the cellular band configuration to enable global travelling as much as possible, including e.g. roaming in the U.S. carrier networks.
Edit: Wrong reply, wanted to add that to the comment about US "goofy bands"
I haven't read the article tbh, i just clearly understand where the desire for it comes from. Also, what you describe seems to fit well for what "weird people who like shifting" want?
I was just surprised how many comments here were very much against even the idea of having to shift again
I would love this. I hate driving in general because traffic fucking sucks, but if i do have to drive, let me have an engaging experience. Shitfing is the only fun thing about driving
Clearly not for the typical "i commute a bazillion hours every day" people kind of feature.
