  • Most people forget they are probably just gonna die in an apocalypse.

  • Eh you're right of course. Like I said below. Search engines have become useless anyway..

  • Very true. I don't disagree at all. I think once google finally becomes totally useless. It won't matter.

I mean Google is already just Yellow Pages AdWords edition with AI content

  • Yeah the article stub doesn't link to the article. It links to a login flow with the article id. If you go directly to the article you get redirected if you don't have a session.

It's incredibly easy to make an impossible to get around paywall. Porn has done it since the Internet existed.

In this very particular situation I'm glad most companies are lazy and stupid.

I don't particularly care if a company does pay only content. I think its legitimately ok. I hate companies that don't make you pay enough for the service to cover their costs thus leading to complete enshitifaction.

  • Seems like a good way to raise money for a charity you like. Say, planned parenthood. Get everyone you know to sign the petition. Vote for whomever you want and but that trash bag weasels money to good use.

  • This crime is the thinnest yet!

  • This seems like a weird argument. One has to come before the other. You won't see a noticable reduction CO2 emissions until renewables are primary sources for probably decades. Sure that's not great but it's where we're at.

  • The ballot example is bad, but I definitely think this is an improvement on the current system.

As with every system; someone will eventually find flaws and then it'll need updated. Which is how democratic countries should work.

If someone tells you the system is good enough already, you can guarantee they benefit from some inequality.

  • They make a joke about it in The Boys. Which I find so extra funny. Perfect way to sell the character is tech savvy

  • It's not nothing. It's so you think it's ok that they're stealing your wages, and ruining the world. The media is part of the crisis.

  • It's only the rich that matter. They chose who wins

  • It bothers me it's not in 4 bit "bytes" even though I know it's just a convention for computers

  • This is the most confidentially incorrect thing I've seen in a while. Talk to a real climate scientist. Like a real one. They're easy to find. They're all (unfortunately) all over Twitter. Ask 3. Ask 10. You are going to be really sad after... But you'll be educated. Or not. Up to you.

  • The setting. The plot revolves around a robot helping humans trying to rediscover themselves. Just being pedantic

  • Because the people who own everything want him to win. It's that simple.

  • Run.
