  • There's a third explanation: He's a fairly bad businessman but Twitter was always expected to lose money, and the purpose of owning it is to use it as a cost center for massive political influence.

I'm not necessarily espousing this theory, I have no real evidence either way, but lots of billionaires buy media outlets so they can direct public sentiment. Twitter, managed correctly, could have been a pretty good way to do that, but even within that lens it has been managed very badly, so IDK

  • The second I saw from your title which song it was I thought "this person is gonna go extremely hard and like a third of this song doesn't even have drums"

I enjoyed watching her when she hears the drum track for the first time and almost immediately picks up the real beats

  • Well it's good to know 59% of execs are aware that AI isn't gonna change shit

  • I don't have the authority to do that

OK, so it's the governor we need

  • I feel like when you title your post "Hilarious", you're being sarcastic. Are you, perhaps, aware that this is actually pretty unfunny? Yet you posted it here nonetheless.

  • It's not "losing momentum" because those pledges were always lies. It's the corporate equivalent of "I'll get to it when I get to it". We never had that momentum in the first place, and we won't unless the force of law with actual consequences makes it happen. Bulldoze every company that emits CO2 and doesn't fix it.

  • Wild, so it would suggest that the actor wasn't Chinese at all. An authentic Chinese person probably wouldn't choose a name that sounded like that, any more than I would name myself Sean MacBerkowitz, it would just sound wrong.

A random name generator might produce something like this, of course, if it wasn't programmed to be too picky.

  • That's true, it wouldn't take very many before people were always cautious.

EDIT: Wait, what am I saying. Drivers routinely just kill each other for a million reasons, and then never do anything about the reasons or use any caution whatsoever.

  • They're creating a supervolcano that will destroy life on earth?

    Where do I donate

  • Looks to me like a lot of them are slowing down to see what kind of performance art he's doing. Even the bus driver pointed at him in curiosity. Admittedly, there are also a lot of them swerving away from the puddle in a moment of sudden awareness, or just swerving away from him in a moment of fear.

There may be some aspect of attention-grabbing that would work no matter what was in his hand. People see so many umbrellas on a rainy day that it barely registers, but if you hold anything at all that's eye-catching, you'll pop up in their conscious attention and they'll treat you like a person instead of a road hazard.

I mean, if it works it works, but I think it would be less effective if a lot of people did it. "Oh, I've seen this one, he never actually throws the brick."

  • Drivers hate this one brick

  • It drives me crazy that tumblr screenshots never have dates on them.

  • That makes sense except, is this really an interrogation room? They have blackboards in there?

  • can someone explain this one

  • The world would be a better place if Mark Zuckerberg accidentally got sucked into a jetski engine somehow

  • Didn't he see the sign when he walked in?

  • This is where I would deliver your package IF I HAD ONE
