Gluetun is kind of a wrapper around wireguard or openvpn, that greatly simplifies setup and configurability.
I have a VM that runs wireguard to airvpn, in a container made of gluetun. Then you share that container's network with a qbittorrent container (or pick your torrent) and an nzbget container (or pick your nzb downloader). Tada, your downloaders are VPN'd forever.
Thanks! Yeah, figuring out how to get gluetun working properly with a vpn and downloaders was a chore and a half. Glad I got that sorted, now I feel pretty confident I can punch a mobile app through into the network pretty easily.
nfn but it's important to point out that the concept of "gold star" lesbians, and actual specific lesbians, are very much connected to the terf movement. Most lesbians have always been on board with trans folk, of course, and even some of the ones who kicked off terf bullshit have since realized that they actually helped create a fascist movement that hurts them too. But that history is there, if you look.
Right, the distinction I'm making is this isn't just "normalized" but actually the correct spelling. As in, if a newspaper editor saw it written as "drive-through" they would be obliged to correct it.
Oglaf started off as a legit porn comic but then they figured out they're actually geniuses at writing jokes. This is a great example; there's no spoken punchline here, just his face.
To sum up: we recently got the awesome FTC instruction that noncompete agreements are disallowed in almost all cases.
Noncompete agreements keep workers from being able to work in their trained field just because they previously worked somewhere else in that field and had to sign a paper to do so. They're a tool used to harm worker power; traditionally for knowledge workers, but now it's being used all over the place.
The judge SC said, you can't ban those. Noncompetes are cool and good. Fuck workers.
EDIT: This was a 5th circuit judge, so not the USSC. A little below that level.
Anyone know offhand their stance on jackbooted thugs kicking in the doors of people who write emulation software and sending them to prison? Just trying to get a pulse on that
A constitutional amendment implies that the constitution doesn't already cover this when, in its plain language, it definitely does. This provides an implicit concession that the court was right.
Don't give them that. Pack the court and issue the opposite decision at the earliest opportunity.
You know that Onion article, "No Way to Prevent This says only nation where this regularly happens" that was getting posted like 3 times a year, for a decade, and now it seems like we're at the point where even The Onion won't bother posting it any more?
The comic was posted a CENTURY AGO. Good work america. Literally sticking to your guns.
I know the joke here is that we're just in an endless cycle, but if this happened now and we reverted to stone age sun god worshippers, we'd find it a LOT harder to redevelop modern technology. We've literally plundered the reachable raw materials in the ground, and scoured the biomes.
The biomes would eventually recover (and become something new), but all that nice reachable coal is gone. We may not make it if that happens.
It doesn't really seem that hard to test? Emotions--at least in their occurrence and strength--are detectable with non-invasive brain scans. We've been doing that for ages. Put some electrodes on a baby, let them see their mommy, watch the graph spike until they turn away.
The argument "how could we know that about babies?" was used, for decades, to justify doing surgery on babies without anesthesia. They can't talk, so who knows if they're feeling pain or not. Guess we can safely assume they don't. Point being, we don't have to have a conversation with them about it to know why they're doing something.
